The couple looked very happy together as they devoured burgers lovingly in Mac donalds. They were a beautiful sight sitting by the window, waving at a crowd of onlookers as they showed off their wedding dresses. A post wedding party in a burger joint was not the only reason they were getting all the attention. The couple was none other than the Royal couple of William and Kate. But hold on, wasn’t it supposed to be on 29th April and here we were still in the first week of April? On close inspection it turned out that they were lookalikes and the entire episode was a spoof being shot on the streets on London! It did fool some people and amused the rest of us. The spoof continued in the bookshops with books showing the royal love story as the people would want it to be!

street I picked up the evening standard paper which was carrying a report on how classes which taught little girls the art of being a perfect princess were mushrooming across the UK. The wedding seemed to be generating not only interest and national pride n the UK but also an entire industry of souvenirs and British goods. Almost every little girl grows up on a good dose of princesses stories and the wedding is probably where dreams come true or seem to ! Unfortunately not all of us have a fairy godmother who can wave a wand and turn us into a princess. I was very close to feeling like one though on my visit to Ireland. I wonder where Kate and William will choose to spend their honeymoon after the engagement in Africa and wedding in Westminster abbey, but normal couples today surely have a royal choice when it comes to honeymoon destinations and experiences from lazing in beaches, to getting a taste of royalty in a castle or jumping off cliffs as they bungee together, a honeymoon today is surely is a very exciting start to living happily ever after! |
